Orebody Modeling Method Based on the Coons Surface Interpolation

This paper presents a surface modeling method for interpolating orebody models based on set of cross-contour polylines (geological interpreted from the raw geological sampling data) using bi-Coons interpolation method. The is particularly applicable to data with acquired during and exploration processes. innovation this that proposed can automatically divide closed loops combine sub-meshes. solves problem it difficult complex shapes, greatly improves efficiency polylines. It consists three stages: (1) Divide approximate planes contour polylines; each loop viewed as polygon combined several polylines, n-sided region. (2) After processing formed regions, Coons improved complete every single (3) Combine all sub-meshes form model. corresponding algorithm was implemented C++ programing language 3D software.
